Manchester United Clinches Title

In the English Premier League, Manchester United has clinched the English Premier League title after a 2 to nil win over Wigan. Also in contention was Chelsea who lost their chance for the title with a 1 all draw to Bolton Wanderers on the weekend. It was the blend of old and new faces for United combining to secure victory. Cristiano Ronaldo began the scoring with a 33rd-minute penalty. Ryan Giggs, who equaled Bobby Charlton's club record of seven hundred fifty-eight appearances, completed the win 10 minutes from time. United ended the season on 87 points, two clear of Chelsea. It was United's 10th Premier League title and 17th championship in all.
